When I think of government spending I envision parks, military, and infrastructure. You know the kind of thing that everyone can enjoy. As we have seen in California where city council members were making over $500,000 a year for part time work, we have to evaluate if the government knows what it is doing.
I don’t think this type of spending is limited to small towns. We have a president that is a multi-millionaire who still collects his paycheck when the whole country is struggling to make money.
I know it is easy to take shots at the guy at the top, but the reality is all the small businessmen that Obama is debating on taxing are having trouble collecting their paycheck. They don’t get paid if their company isn’t making any money, as a matter of fact, they are the first ones to take a pay cut during tough times.
The annual U.S. Congressional pay is $93,090,000 for 535 people. That doesn’t include health care and other perks. The people who take a summer break, holiday break and free trips to everywhere they want to go collect your money for their pay.
The reason they don’t care about how wisely they spend our money is because they get paid first.
Don’t you think Congress would be more
inclined to have a balanced budget if they got paid last?
